Anyway, I'm stuck, so I'm gonna braindump on you 😛

I've been looking at letter distribution similarities between the lines in 28 and earlier puzzles, since Cassie had a tendency to bring up the same phrases and themes.

The approach in and on itself looks promising, because I immediately got high correlation between "Y eyeeu estew h ceoovrneht l irwu" and "YOU'RE THE ONE WITH EVERY CLUE," from puzzle 13 and "ehr' st ceTsit o tri aoenbei t,mu s" and "The cost is not just mine to bear." from puzzle 7.

The former is the first line, currently proposed as "You were the ones with every clue", the latter is the ninth line, proposed as "The cost is mine to bear, it’s true".

I'm very pleased that the system picked up on those two.

The other results added more questions than answers, though.

Let's start with the weirdest one: The system has convinced me that the unconfirmed solution for puzzle 19 is incorrect.

It was an accident, really: The idea was to match anagrams to solved lines, and the system matched the solved line to the anagram.

What do I mean by that?

The system found a significant correlation between "so depicts a rose in soil fenced" from the solution of 19 and the 28 anagram lines "eeao siaC epnesrAto dns d nestc i" and "esnnCsietpsre eea o dios at c".

That would be the last two lines.

You know...the ones that are almost definitely "And Cassie does not rest in peace / Cassie does not rest in peace".

So looking at the unconfirmed solution to 19, the middle part is

currently "solved" as

so depicts a rose in soil fenced 

I do not have a proposed new solution for those yet, but throwing my systems at it, I have found that there are a number of possible near-solves and subsolves that are vastly more thematic than the current solution:

and there are the necessary letters to build many phrases from that series of puzzles: peace, thrust, priest, ten days, cancer, prosed and others.

So yeah...I'm not convinced the solution for 19 is good, and the fact that it's unconfirmed supports that there is more to be found there.

Finding correct solutions might give us more fodder to help with 28.

As for correlations in the direction of 28:

The letter distribution of "w oho lgiw'sne tsre ahaeer Im l" has high similarities to "This is not a game or show." from puzzle 7. That line is currently proposed as "Is a girl whom he won't release".

"m hsddo yAeh n sodadu lewy aobec lnwdi" has medium similarities to "Come on I won't do what you tell me." from 12.

"fyaugtbov tn ihalwp e T osaer iseh" has medium similarities to the solution to 23, "TELL ME TELL ME TELL ME THE ANSWER WHILE YOU BEG IT GROWS LIKE CANCER YOU'RE THE ONE WITH EVERY CLUE BUT FRANK HAS BEEN MORE HELP THAN YOU ELEVEN DAYS UNTIL MY FATE SEREPIS CODES, HI NOVICE, WAIT". It's currently proposed as "The final step was right above you"; "above you" is thematic, but the prior context has been that Cassie/the writer was "right here above you" and in the context of "the answer" that we never look up there above us. There are enough letters for "The answer ... above you", but I haven't found a middle yet.

Also from 23, the system correlated "CASSIE PROSED" with both last lines (the ones about Cassie), which I see as more proof that the idea fundamentally works.

From 6, there is medium correlation between "ud ieosih tuyrla svtuI tlvty glgje he" and "ILL BE RIGHT HERE ABOVE YOU. BE READY". That line (5) has no proposal so far.

From 7, there is medium correlation between "k oahw emtu y Tslng i onaliso'" and "The stakes are high and you must know:". That line (12) is currently proposed as "This is not a game you'll know". This is a pair that shows why I launched this analysis. The lines are different, but the pattern is the same: "Th...a..you...know". There is a similarity there that the system could not possibly have known, and yet it recognized there was something there. Just taking "you" and "know" from the prior solution would've reduced the number of options for 28 dramatically.

In the realm of lower correlation, we have

"hdoltau ey e tm i awwaIoh imr g" (17) and "e y to h ad eiau oIhraet glrnteml" (18) correlating with "Come on I won't do what you tell me." from 12. My theory is that both lines contain a significant number of smaller words, like pronouns and prepositions. If you look at the prior solution, out nine words, four have two letters or fewer. Both lines are currently unsolved.

"fyaugtbov tn ihalwp e T osaer iseh" and "k oahw emtu y Tslng i onaliso'" both correlating with "WHILE YOU BEG IT GROWS LIKE CANCER." from 13.

"eT we'ttae dsrho thos,ieat nl b n" and "w oho lgiw'sne tsre ahaeer Im l" with "WHILE THE VICTIM NODS HER HEAD." from 15.

"I oef gyaun laild ltd ay, esvKui o" with "ELEVEN DAYS UNTIL MY FATE".

In 19, the one I put into question higher up, we have "I oef gyaun laild ltd ay, esvKui o" and "k oahw emtu y Tslng i onaliso'" correlating with "Inside the gate you will defend" and "ehr' st ceTsit o tri aoenbei t,mu s" with "The picture has not yet commenced". The latter is currently solved as "The cost is mine to bear, it’s true". If the solution from 19 is wrong, this might be a pointer at the correct solution for that puzzle. There are at least enough letters to start with "The cost".

"oruu t e tw'o mloeiflYt ernt osabi" with "at dawn youll rise to do your worst." from 7.

"nskvseYe adep euiaw d nhetdroe o", "hdoltau ey e tm i awwaIoh imr g" and "e y to h ad eiau oIhraet glrnteml" with "The stakes are high and you must know:" from 7. Again, this might be a sign that those lines contain a number of generic words: the, are, and, you, must could appear in a number of contexts and would still generate a similar letter distribution.

"ehr' st ceTsit o tri aoenbei t,mu s" has a lower correlation with "what curses back is even worse."

"ehr' st ceTsit o tri aoenbei t,mu s" and "eT we'ttae dsrho thos,ieat nl b n" have a medium-ish correlation with "the beast without absorbs the sin."
